Bagia Bhagia Baghia Bajia Bhajia Tanzanian Style

These have so many ways of spelling and pronouncing them but however you call them they are just so yummy...

Ingredients 
1 cup chick pea flour 
1/2  tsp turmeric powder 
1/4 cup onions (finely chopped)
1 tsp garlic paste
1/2 ginger paste
1 tsp chilies 
1/2 scallions  
1 tbsp fresh parsley 
1/2 tsp cumin
1 sodium bicarbonate  
1 cup water 
1/2 tsp salt to taste  
oil for deep frying

Directions
Mix chick pea flour, onions & sodium bicarbonate in a bowl.

Add the other ingredients and mix well.

Add water a spoon at a time, until it becomes a heavy mixture. Not too thick

Leave it in a room temperature for 30 minutes.

Heat the oil in a pan and drop a tablespoon full of the batter. 


Fry until golden brown. Remove from pan, put on paper towel.
